The girl behind the needle
Maggie’s work is rooted in a deep appreciation for texture, color, and the quiet joy of making something with her hands. Her designs are inspired by the rhythm of everyday life—slow mornings, long walks in the woods, and the simple pleasure of putting something useful into the world.
With a focus on thoughtfully sewn bags, Maggie brings together vintage-inspired prints, nature-themed fabrics, and a love for detail. Each piece is designed to be both functional and beautiful, grounded in craftsmanship and care.
In addition to sewing, Maggie has recently begun exploring seed beading and embroidery—incorporating these art forms into her work either as their own unique projects or blended together in creative ways. She’s endlessly curious and always eager to learn, which keeps her work evolving and full of fresh inspiration.
When she’s not in her sewing space, Maggie’s likely out on a trail with her mountain bike, cooking at home, buried in a book, or tending to her flower garden. She shares her days with her partner, Mike, and their wise old border collie, Bodhi—and always makes time for a quiet coffee moment.

Ensō & Wabi-Sabi: The Heart of My Work
At the center of my creative process are two beautiful Japanese concepts: ensō and wabi-sabi. Together, they shape not just how I make things, but why I make them.
Ensō (円相) is a hand-drawn circle created in a single, expressive brushstroke. Often open and imperfect, the ensō captures a moment of presence and intention—an unfiltered expression of the maker’s spirit. Like my handmade goods, each ensō is one-of-a-kind, a reminder that beauty lives in the now, not in perfection.
Wabi-sabi is the art of finding beauty in imperfection. It’s a quiet celebration of things that are handmade, weathered, or a little off-center—like the gentle wobble of a hand-sewn seam or the unique curve of a fabric fold. Rather than striving for flawless, machine-made precision, I embrace the quirks and character that emerge naturally through the creative process. They are a reflection of care, time, and the human hand.
Like the fluidity of the ensō circle, each Enso Creations piece I create is unique. No two are identical, and that’s the beauty of it. The slight imperfections, the irregularities in stitching or design, are not mistakes but marks of the creative journey. Just as the ensō is not meant to be perfect, my handmade pieces are about celebrating the process and the natural flow of making.
In every ensō and every handmade item, there is beauty in the moment, in the subtle variations, and in the authenticity of creating something truly unique.
